Hello
Over the last few years I have come to the conclusion that it’s not what happens that defines my happiness but the way I interpret the things that happen to me.
I have come across people who seem to have the world against them, but come through adversity with flying colours while others that everything going for them and yet seem to give up at the first hurdle. This led me to do some delving in to what makes people think differently and more importantly why. This I have found to be very beneficial to me and how I run my life. One of the books I read last year “The Happiness Handbook” cemented some of the conclusions that I had come to and gave me insight to many more strategies.
I have always been an advocate of positive thinking, tempered with a dose of what is realistic and practicable. I am excited about being involved in the “Happiness Clubs” in Australia. I know it will be a new journey for me with many challenges along the way. In life it is nice to get a helping hand and I feel that we can have this by being part of a group in a happiness club.
My aim is get a guest speaker each month to talk on what happiness means to them, share articles on wellbeing through having a happy frame of mind and add other items to the meeting from your suggestions.
Starting up a “Happiness Club” is new and exciting for me, so if you would like to help out or have some suggestions they will be greatly appreciated and we can together build Hobart Happiness Club quickly.
Please come along to a meeting in Glenorchy and meet like minded people who want to discover more about themselves and be a happier person for it.
Until we meet.
Michael
