Happiness @ Work

Tonight (Tuesday June 6) I’m talking to a group of AGSM MBA graduates about happiness at work. I must say, I’m extremely proud to be asked to speak in this forum, and excited that a group many would consider to be commercially focused businessmen and women are interested in concepts such as health, happiness, satisfaction and engagement.

In the past, such issues would have been considered to be “soft”; but now, I’m pleased to note, the mental health and wellness of employees is considered to be extremely important. And rightly so!

Happy workers (at all levels) are good workers. Happy employees are more productive; they work better in teams; they relate better with clients and customers; and they take less sick leave. There is a strong financial argument for organisations to do all they can to enhance happiness in the workplace…and we, at The Happiness Institute, are obviously keen to do all we can to help!

What do you think? Tell us about your workplaces and what goes on in your business or organisation to make you happy…
